Admin Screen Features
Below the Modifier Group Rules is a selection for the color this group will appear
while on the Home Screen and two checkboxes further down. You can only set a color
for the Modifier Group if you have a color scheme created in your system.
•
Guided:
when selected, this modifier group will always automatically appear when
the menu item it is attached to is selected. When not guided, the modifier group is
only selectable by ringing in the item on the Home page and then selecting the rang
up item in the ticket field to edit it. It is best to use a guided modifier group when
you want to force a choice on an item, such as what side a customer orders. Unguid-
ed modifier groups are best used for special requests/edits to items customers have
ordered, such as optional add-ons or groups such as hamburger mods, which would
allow the employee to take things off or add things to a hamburger for the kitchen
ticket.
•
Allow Open Modifiers:
creates a button within this modifier group that will prompt
for name and price, allowing staff to add special instructions to certain items in the
system. Allow open modifiers with caution, as employees can use this as a way to give
standard modifiers away at no price.
On the far right of the screen is a large list that spans the height of the page. At the
top of this, you can toggle between Modifiers and Items.
•
Modifiers:
this list will show you what modifiers are currently connected to the mod
group you have open. To add more, select the small plus at the top left of this list. An-
other list of all the modifiers you currently have in the system will appear. If the mod-
ifier you are searching for to add to your modifier group is already on this list, you can
select it here. This will highlight it in grey. Highlighting multiples will allow you to add
multiples all at once. There is a search bar at the top to help quickly navigate to the
modifier you’re looking for. If the modifier doesn’t exist in your system yet, you can
scroll to the bottom of this list instead and find the button called Add New Modifier.
This will allow you to create the new one you need.
• Items:
this list will show you what items the modifier group is currently attached to.
To add more, select the small plus sign while the Items list is selected to be shown
all of the items currently in the system. You can filter this further with the small key
button at the top left of this selection screen. This will allow you to filter your items
by either category or department. If you select a specific category and would like this
modifier group to appear on all the items within it, you can select the Select All but-
ton. This will highlight all the items on the list in grey. Clicking the Add Selected but-
ton will move all these over to the Items list.
