Company Settings - Redemptions
Redemptions are primarily used in retail settings and include things some states
may allow such as bottle fees, bottle redemptions, and lottery tickets. By using redemp-
tions, the system allows you to pay the refund value for an empty beverage container for
bottle redemptions or pay out a lottery ticket and track that information in your report-
ing. Here we will cover setting up a bottle fee, bottle redemption, and lottery tickets.
Setting up a Bottle Fee
1. To create a bottle fee, you must first go to Admin -> Company Settings -> Redemp-
tions. Once there, select New at the top right of the list.
2. Name it Bottle Fee. Now, add the price of the fee, which we have added in the exam-
ple as ten cents.
3. Now we need to add the Bottle fee to the appropriate item. Find the item that adds
the bottle fee and edit the item. Select Page 3 on the item’s maintenance screen and
select the blank next to Redemption and assign Bottle Fee to the item. Now when you
ring the item in, it will add the fee as a line item on the ticket.
