Description
BTS
Base transceiver station, a 2G base station. BTSs are controlled by base
station controllers (BSCs) and constitute a a base station subsystem
(BSS) with BSCs as radio devices. BTSs serve for a district and
communicate with mobile stations (MSs) through air interfaces.
NodeB
A 3G base station, providing physical radio links between mobile
devices (mobile phones) and the universal mobile telecommunications
system (UMTS) network. NodeBs transmit and receive data through
radio interfaces.
