Chapter 9: Troubleshooting

• Reactor Flow Control Valves (V6-R) and (V3-R) are closed

• Reactor Valve (V7-R) is opened

• Proportional valve (V1-GD) is set to its normal set point for the carrier gas flow

Pneumatic Valves

The 

Pneumatic Valve

 screen (

Figure 96

) contains buttons for testing the pneumatic valves, which control the 

optional Filter Panel.

To test a pneumatic valve, first ensure that the source of compressed air is connected to the Analyzer. Press the 
appropriate button for the pneumatic valve to test. The pneumatic valves are identified with a “PV” prefix 
followed by the position number. For example, “PV1-MS” refers to the pneumatic valve in position 1, “PV2-MS” 
refers to the pneumatic valve in position 2, and so on. The state of the valve appears as “1” (active or open) or 
“0” (inactive or closed) on the button under the valve name.

After pressing a pneumatic valve button, you should hear compressed air exit from the selected valve. (The 
pneumatic valves are mounted on the left side of the Analyzer).
