Chapter 5: Calibration and Verification
• R
2
: Indicates the correlation coefficient for the linear regression of the Measured vs. the Expected
values (for a 3-6 point linear calibration only).
• Slope: One or more values of calibration slope will appear, depending upon the type of calibration.
The slope is one of the key calibration constants, and is defined in the “Calibration and Verification
Options” section. In NPOC mode, a typical slope of 700 + 200 indicates proper response. In IC mode
a typical slope of 1200 + 350 indicates proper response.
• Intercept: The intercept is another calibration constant, and an intercept value is listed for each
slope value. See the “Calibration and Verification Options” section for a definition.
•
Cancel
: Closes the results screen without saving the new calibration constants.
•
Measurements
: Displays a screen that allows the user to edit the calibration. (See Section
•
Export PDF
: Permits user to export calibration results in PDF form to a USB flash memory drive.
•
Apply
: Saves the new calibration constants.
6. To export a PDF when the calibration is completed, containing the results of the calibration, insert a USB
flash memory drive into the external USB port
9
, and then press the
Export PDF
button. It is strongly
recommended that the calibration PDF be exported and saved on a PC for future reference whenever
the Analyzer is calibrated.
7. Depending on the calibration results, either press the
Apply
button to save the calibration results, press
the
Measurements
button to edit the calibration (See the
“Editing a Calibration” on page 120
.) or press
the
Cancel
button to discard the calibration results.
9.
Remember to first disconnect any other USB flash memory drives from other USB ports, if installed. When
multiple USB flash memory drives are connected to more than one USB port, the Analyzer will only export
to the first USB flash memory drive inserted. The Analyzer can take up to 15 seconds to recognize the
flash storage device.
