U
ser Management
You can enable or disable a user management feature on the InnovOx. This feature allows you to configure one
Administrative User (Admin) and up to three unique Users. The Admin will have access to all features throughout
the firmware. The User will only have access to start, stop, obtain result reports, view protocols, and certain
Maintenance
tab options, such as
Flush
Reagents
and
Diagnostics
.
1. Select the
Maintenance
tab.
2. Press the
User Management
button.
3. Toggle the
User Management Enabled/Disabled
button to the desired setting.
4. To set up unique users, ensure that the User Management is set to
Enabled
and press the
Admin
button
to log in as the Administrator.
5. Press
User Name
to enter a unique user ID, and then press
Enter
.
6. Press
Password
to enter a unique user password, and then press
Enter
. Write down your passwords
and store them in a safe place for future reference.
7. Repeat steps
to set up Users 2 and 3.
Blank Correction
The reagents and dilution water contain organic contaminants that are included in the TC, TOC and NPOC
measurements. Those contaminants make a significant contribution to the TC, TOC and NPOC measurements
when the samples contain less than about 10 ppm of TOC or NPOC. For the greatest accuracy, the TOC or NPOC
measurements should be corrected for those contaminants (the “blank”).
There are two ways of making this correction. If all of the sample streams are to be measured using the same
Acid and Oxidizer settings used in the calibration, then the simplest way is to calibrate the Analyzer using
Reagent Water as the first calibration point. The water must be low-TOC (less than 0.1 ppm), reagent-grade
water. Selecting Reagent Water as the first point in a calibration automatically adjusts the calibration to correct
subsequent measurements for the TOC in the reagents and dilution water. For that reason, the automated blank
correction feature (described as follows) is inactivated.
If you analyze the samples with different Acid and Oxidizer settings other then those used in the calibration,
consider using the automated blank correction feature. This feature gives the advantage of measuring the

If a conversion factor equation is changed, the new equation does not change any previously
converted values in historical reports. However, the new
Factor Units
and
Factor Name
will
display next to each legacy value. Therefore, we recommend using a different conversion factor
slot (Factor 1, Factor 2, Factor 3, Factor 4, and Factor 5) when configuring different equations.
