Performing Detailed Editing on the Timeline Palette

Select All Button

This selects all tracks.

Time Code

This displays the time code at the playback location.

Sequence Time

This displays the length (duration) of the overall

sequence.

Rendering Button

This performs rendering (

Overwrite Edit Mode Button

This button is used to perform overwrite editing.

Insert Edit Mode Button

This button is used to perform insert editing.

Zoom In/Zoom Out Buttons

These allow you to zoom in (enlarge) or zoom out

(reduce) the Timeline for easier editing (p. 280).

+/- Memory Buttons

You can use these to store the Timeline zoom factor

in memory (p. 280).

Main Track Interlink Button

This ensures that material on other tracks moves in

synchronization when you edit video on the Main
track (p. 87).

Track Slider

Dragging this to the left or right shifts the displayed

region of the tracks to the left or right.

Sequence Editing Window

You can arrange various types of material here.

Position Bar

This indicates the time of the current editing

operation (p. 80, p. 278).

Go to the left side of the screen and click the "Timeline Palette" tab.

The Timeline Palette displays the same material in the same order as on the Main
track of the Storyboard Palette (p. 79).
