Capturing Audio Material

With the DV-7DL PRO, you can capture audio files created on a computer or other

such equipment. You can capture Wave (.WAV) audio files. The format described

below is recommended.

The DV-7DL PRO may be unable to import files saved in any format other than the one just

described.

f you're creating the audio file on a Macintosh, add ".wav" at the end of the file name.

Display the "External Capture" window.

Click Material Edit. When the menu appears, line up the pointer with "Import

Materials ..." then click. The "Import Materials" window appears.

Load the CD-ROM or memory card containing the audio file.

Insert the CD-ROM or memory card containing the audio file into the DV-7DL PRO.

For information on how to load a CD-ROM, refer to "Capturing Audio from a CD" (

p. 106

CD-ROM formats that can be used for importing are listed on page

179

For information on how to insert a memory card, refer to the separate "DL-CR1 Owner's

Manual."

Import the audio file.

Click "Material," select "Audio," then select the audio file you want to capture. Then

click the "Import" button to start importing the material.

Importing an audio file may take some time.

To check and verify the audio file before you import it, click the "Preview" button.

Captured material is converted to 48-kHz, 16-bit stereo material.

Close the "External Capture" window.

Click the "Close" button to close the "External Capture" window.
