Editing Audio

Audio material can be edited only on the Timeline Palette. For information on the

basics of using the Timeline Palette, refer to

Basic Operation of Timeline Palette

(p. 80)

You can edit captured audio by moving it from the Material palette to the Audio

tracks on the Timeline Palette, using the same methods as for video.

Display the Audio Palette.

In the Material palette, click the “Audio” tab to display the palette where audio

material is saved.

Arrange the audio material.

Drag material from the Material palette to an Audio track on the Timeline Palette.

Audio material cannot be placed anywhere except on an Audio track (2 through 4). Also,

only the synchronized audio for video placed on the Main Video track can be placed on Audio

Track 1.

Dragging video material to an Audio track (2, 3, or 4) places just the synchronized audio for

the video material on the Audio track.
