Performing Detailed Editing on the Timeline Palette
Thinning the Number of A/B Roll Points
You can thin (reduce) the number of A/B roll points to make the A/B roll points
easier to edit.
1.
Set and In point and an Out point on the Timeline Palette to specify the range.
Follow the steps in "Setting In Points and Out Points in a Sequence" ( p. 282 ) to specify
the range where you want to thin the number of A/B roll points.

Click the "Thin Points from In Point to Out Point" button.
The number of A/B roll points is reduced by an extent that does not cause undue
deformation of the A/B roll line in the range you specified.
* Using this feature may produce an A/B roll line having an unintended form.
Minimizing the Number of A/B Roll Points Recorded
If you're intending to edit the A/B roll points later, a large number of A/B roll points
can make editing difficult. At such times, you can keep the number of A/B roll
points recorded to a minimum.
Going to the "Setup" menu and clicking "Minimize recorded A/B roll points" to
select it (making a check mark appear) makes only the required minimum number
of A/B roll points be recorded, which can be convenient when editing the A/B roll
points later.
