Creating Material

With the DV-7DL PRO, you can create material with video or audio effects applied

in advance. You can create material with effects applied in the Material palette

(before you arrange them on the Timeline Palette or Storyboard Palette).

You can create video in which effects such as slow motion or reverse motion are

applied. You can apply the following effects.

“Slow-motion video”

“Fast-motion video”

“Reverse-motion video”

“Strobe-motion video”

“Video with blurred afterimages (Image Trailer)”

Most of the same steps described previously are used to make the settings for each

effect. The only differences, which are minor, are shown in step 4, “Make the settings

for the effect.” These settings differ somewhat according to the type of effect. The

following procedure describes how to apply the effects.

Display the Video Palette.

In the Material palette, click the “Video” tab to display the Video Palette.

Choose the source material.

Double-click the material to serve as the source for video with effects to displays the

Detail View window. Set an In point and an Out point to determine the passage to

serve as the source section. If you want to apply the effect to the entire piece of

material, set the In point at the top frame and the Out point at the final frame.
