Creating Material

The DV-7DL PRO lets you create and capture still pictures in a wide range of

formats. Let’s create still video from moving video material, capture still-picture

material shot use a digital still camera, and using such material in a sequence.

Let’s start by creating still video material from dynamic (moving) video material.

This makes it possible to make moving video appear to stop suddenly (stop-motion

video).

For information on how to create still video from still pictures captured from a CD-ROM, a

digital camera, refer to the following section, “Creating Still Video from Material on a CD-

ROM or Card Reader.”

Drag the source video material to the Timeline.

Drag the source video material to an empty location on the Timeline.

Find the source image.

Drag the position bar with the mouse to find the image (frame) that you want to

convert into still video. Verify using the television monitor.

Select “Make Video from Current Position.”

From the Material menu, select “ Make Video from Current Position.”
