Performing Detailed Editing on the Timeline Palette

Once material has been placed on the Timeline Palette, you can freely move it

forward or backward. The shape of the mouse pointer is different depending on

whether you are moving something forward or backward.

Line up the mouse pointer with the material.

Move the mouse pointer to the location of the material you want to move.

Drag to pre-align.

To pre-align — that is, to align with material located earlier in time (material located

to the left on the Timeline) — move the mouse pointer near to the left edge of the

material you want to move. The shape of the mouse pointer changes to an arrow

pointing to the upper left. While in that state, drag to the target location.

Drag to post-align.

To post-align — that is, to align with material located later in time (material located

to the right on the Timeline) — move the mouse pointer near to the right edge of the

material you want to move. The shape of the mouse pointer changes to an arrow

pointing to the upper right. While in that state, drag to the target location.
