Editing Video

Go back to the beginning of the sequence.

Click the “Jump to the Top Frame” button at the bottom of the Sequence Monitor.

The red box jumps to the beginning of the sequence.

Play back the sequence.

Click the “Play” button to start playback, and make sure the arranged video material

is played back in order. The red box follows the material currently being played,

moving to the right and downward as playback progresses.

Stop playback.

At the end, click the “Stop” button to stop playback. The DV-7DL PRO, you can also

start and stop playback by pressing the space key on the keyboard.

You can also start and stop playback by pressing the space key on the keyboard. Note,

however, that you cannot start or stop playback using the space key when you are in the

Japanese Input mode. In such cases, hold down the "Ctrl" key and press the space key to leave

the Japanese Input mode.

Playing Back from the Middle (Storyboard)

You can start playback not only from the start of the sequence, but from somewhere

in the middle (at a cut you choose).

Select the cut.

First click the material you want to play back to select it. The red box appears.

Start playback.

Click the “Play” button to start playback. The material you selected and the material

coming after is played back. After playback, click the “Stop” button.
