• Printer Drivers and Support Files — installs the printer’s
PPD as well as application-specific printer files for
QuarkXPress, PageMaker, and ScenicSoft Preps.
• ICC Profiles installs ICC source and destination profiles.
• AdobePS Driver Installation — installs the Adobe
PostScript driver.
6. Click Install (or quit installation by clicking Quit).
7. Wait until the selected utility programs, PPD, and PDF(s) are
installed. When the installation was successful message
appears, select Quit and go to the appropriate section listed
below.
• If you chose only to install the XANTÉ utilities, go to
“Adobe PostScript Printer Drivers” later in this chapter to
load the printer driver and your printer’s PPD manually.
• If you chose Printer Drivers and Support Files, the Adobe
PostScript Driver window appears; go to step 7 to proceed
with the AdobePS 8.7.X installation.
• If you chose ICC Profiles, go to “Adobe PostScript Printer
Drivers” later in this chapter to load the printer driver and
your printer’s PPD manually.
• If you chose Easy Install, the Adobe PostScript Driver
window appears; continue to step 8 to proceed with the
AdobePS 8.7.X installation.
8. Click Continue in the AdobePS introduction screen.
Note: On most systems the AdobePS 8.7.X program
automatically launches unless this version is installed
already. If not, you can open it manually by double-
clicking Adobe 8.7.X Installer in the Printer Drivers:
AdobePS 8.7.X folder.
