Make sure the printer displays a
READY/IDLE
message.
Then, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the
power source, disconnect any interface cables, and remove any
media from the top of the printer.
4.
Remove the media exit cover by pulling up its handle until its
bottom hooks release; then, rotate the cover up and forward to
free the cover’s top tabs (fig. 10.12).

Remove the two back upper caps using the screw driver to
press down in each cap’s opening to free the top tabs; then
rotate the caps down and back to release the bottom tabs (fig.
10.12).
6.
Remove the two LFU caps by sliding them straight back and
out (fig. 10.12).
7.
Install the duplexer (fig. 10.13.)
