Configuration 6-33
•
The First page from and Remaining from options allow you to
specify one tray for the first page and a different tray for the rest
of the print job.
In most PC applications, you can specify the media tray on the Paper
Source tab of the Page Setup dialog box or on the Paper tab of the
Print dialog box’s Properties section.
•
The AutoSelect Tray option directs the printer to use the media
source that contains the paper size you selected in the file.
•
Other options (Cassette, Upper Optional Tray, and Lower
Optional Tray) direct the printer to use a specific tray. Optional
tray selections are valid only if these trays are installed.
In some applications the Print dialog box tray selection option do not
work correctly if you have the same size media in more than one tray
(whether the same or different type media is loaded). To compensate
for this, your printer’s PPD also has tray select options.
If your printer has the same size media in more than one tray, use the
following appropriate procedure for tray selection.
Macintosh:
Go to the Print dialog box. Select Print
Specific Options: Tray Select and
choose the desired tray from the drop
down menu (fig. 13).
Do not use the
Paper Source selection in the General
drop down menu in the Print dialog box.
Windows: 9X and Me: Go to the Print dialog box and click
Properties. Select Device Options:
Printer Features: Tray Select and choose
the desired tray from the drop down
menu (fig. 14).
Do not use the Paper:
Paper Source selection in the Properties
window.
