Note: When you verify color calibrating your printer, always
use XANTÉ Colour Density Calibration paper.
Calibration is not guaranteed when other media is
used. Samples of this paper are provided with your
printer and you can purchase more from XANTÉ or
your XANTÉ vendor.
Colors should fall within the range of rows 4 through 7 when
verifying colour density. For optimal color matching when using
default profiles and XANTÉ TrueColour, colors should fall within
rows 5 and 6. If colors do not fall within rows 4 through 7, you may
wish to perform the colour density calibration and verification again.
To verify color density
1. Select Utility: Utility Pages: Target Verify in the printer’s front
panel. A Colour Density Verification page prints (fig. 8.5).
2. Place the Colour ScreenWriter Calibration Target over the
black row and identify the black patch that most closely
matches the black on the target.
3. Repeat the process in step 2 with each of the other three colors
(cyan, magenta, and yellow).
Color Registration
The front panel Registration menu, GRAPHICS: REGISTRATION,
allows you to fine tune color registration by adjusting each color
horizontally and/or vertically in increments of 1/300". Options range
from +3 to -3, with ) making no change.
To check registration and make adjustments
1. Make sure the printer is on and idle.
