Note:
Occasionally a jam can be pulled gently up and
out of the printer (fig. 11.9). However, we
recommend pulling it out through the back cover
area because the entire image may not be fused.
Unfused toner could dirty the rollers.

Open the printer’s back cover and gently pull the media
down and back out of the printer (fig. 11.10).

Pull the fuser tension levers back up into their original
positions toward the front of the printer (fig. 11.9).

Close the printer’s back and top covers. Then, turn the printer
on.
Clearing a Duplexer Top Cover Area Jam
Caution:
Duplexer jams occur before the image is fused. Be
careful when removing duplexer jams to prevent unfused
toner from staining your clothes or hands.
