OPC Belt Cartridge Cleaning
Required Tools:
• Several clean, dry, lint-free cotton cloths
Caution:
Never touch the OPC belt surface; always handle the
cartridge by its top handle to prevent scratches and hand
oil contamination which reduce print quality. Keep
bright light exposure under two minutes to prevent belt
damage. If overexposure occurs, there is a limited
chance of belt recovery if the cartridge is placed in a
dark place for several hours.
1.
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the
power source.
2.
Open the printer’s top and front covers and then locate the
OPC belt cartridge (fig. 9.34).
Caution:
If you do not open the front cover before removing
the OPC belt cartridge, the cartridge can be
damaged permanently.
