On the Macintosh, the AdobePS printer driver allows you to
configure the printer’s tray chaining feature using the If the Cassette
is out of paper option in the Error Handling menu of the Print dialog
box.
• The Use printer’s default option uses the printer’s front panel
Tray Switch menu setting.
• The Switch to another cassette with the same paper size option
implements tray chaining to all cassettes.
UCR (Under Color Removal)
Under Color Removal allows you to delete underlying colors when
printing black text. The main advantage is that you achieve a richer,
darker black without the muddying effect other colors might cause.
You reap a side benefit of not wasting the color toner.
Set under color removal using the GRAPHICS: UCR configuration
menu or set it from your application Print dialog box. In the UCR
menu, Yes (the factory default) enables this feature and No disables
it. In your application Print dialog box, options are Printer Default
(the factory default), Basic Undercolour Removal, and No
Undercolour Removal.
Utility Pages
The UTILITY: UTILITY PAGES menu includes information,
sample, and color control pages.
Advanced Calibration
The Advanced Calibration option gives you complete control of the
TrueColour Calibration. This calibration process can be used when
the quick TrueColour Calibration is not enough. See “TrueColour
Calibration (Linearization)” in chapter 8 and “Color Linearization
(Calibration)” in chapter 4 (Macintosh) or 5 (PC) for details.
Font Names
The Font Names page option prints a list of Adobe PostScript 3 fonts
resident on XANTÉ PostScript 3 printers.
