Transfer Unit Cleaning
Transfer unit cleaning covers the registration roller, the transfer
roller and the media discharger.
Registration and Transfer Roller Cleaning
Required Tools:
• Several clean, dry, lint-free cotton cloths
• Several clean, dry cotton swabs
Caution:
Never use alcohol or any solvent to clean registration
and transfer rollers.
1.
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
2.
Open the back cover and locate the registration and transfer
rollers (fig. 9.31)

Wipe dust and toner off the registration roller using clean, dry,
cotton cloths. Use the end gear to rotate the roller so all sides
are cleaned (fig. 9.32).
