Align the new filter’s two small tabs into the cover’s small
openings; then, snap the larger tab into place (fig. 9.27).
5.
Replace the filter cover making sure its two tabs align and
slide into the two holes on the printer (fig. 9.27)
6.
Turn the printer on.
Replacing the Fuser Unit
To replace the fuser unit
1.
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the
power source. Then, wait 20 minutes to allow the fuser unit to
cool.
2.
Open the printer’s top cover (fig. 9.28).
3.
Remove the fuser unit by loosening the thumbscrews and lifting
the fuser unit straight up and out of the printer (fig. 9.28).
Caution:
Make sure to keep the fuser unit level during
removal and while it is out of the printer to prevent
fuser oil spills.
