Film Printing
With XANTÉ’s Positive Film Technology, you can create high
quality, quick turnaround film positives. You print directly to
XANTÉ Myriad Film to create an image for burning to metal plates
and silk screen emulsions, bypassing antiquated camera and
darkroom steps.
Myriad Film is a specially designed film with low UV blockage
made to use with your printer. This film is available in two types,
Myriad Matte and Myriad Clear, both of which are for positive film
output.
Always use the standard upper cassette and follow these guidelines
when printing film.
•
Use only XANTÉ’s Myriad Film, designed specifically for use
with your printer. Using other film may void your printer
warranty.
•
Avoid handling film excessively to prevent fingerprints and
scratches.
•
Keep the printer clean. See “Cleaning the Printer” in chapter 9.
•
Load up to 50 sheets of film in the standard paper cassette.
•
Load fewer sheets of film if jams occur.
•
Remove each sheet as it prints to prevent static buildup.
•
Do not fan film. This causes static buildup which can cause jams.
The following chart lists Myriad Film sizes. To order this film, call
your preferred XANTÉ dealer or your XANTÉ Consumables Sales
Representative at 1-800-540-7091 (US and Canada).
Make sure to
indicate which type of film you want, Myriad Matte or Myriad Clear.
