(L) The battery carrier will retract.
WARNING
Risk of crushing!
Never reach under the battery to remove obstacles.

Extend the battery again.

Lift the battery again using the crane, swivel the
battery to the side and remove the obstacle.
NOTE
If obstacles hinder the movement of the bat-
tery carrier, release the push button.

Make sure that the battery cable is not dam-
aged when the battery carrier is retracted.

(M) Close the battery locks as shown by the
direction of the arrows.

Close the battery door.
NOTE
If the truck is equipped with the "FleetManag-
er" variant and this feature is to be used, the
driver must authenticate themself. Otherwise,
the truck will switch off after a certain period of
time.
Transporting the lead-acid bat-
tery by crane
DANGER
There is risk of fatal injury from being
struck by falling loads!

Never walk or stand underneath sus-
pended loads.
The tray for the lead-acid battery (1) is equip-
ped with four lifting eyes. The battery may only
be transported by crane using a lifting gear
and bridge piece (2) that are suitable in terms
in size and load capacity.
