Pull the interlock handle (1) upwards until it
audibly unlocks.

Grasp the battery cover with both hands on
the load guard rail and push it downwards.
Hold the battery hood firmly while doing so.
It is supported by a gas spring (2), but it is
very heavy.

Carefully put the battery cover in place and
push down until the interlock audibly engag-
es.
Opening the battery hood in an emer-
gency
If the interlock handle cannot be actuated, the
battery hood can also be opened as follows.
On the left-hand side in the drive direction,
there is an opening in the battery hood cover,
just behind the cab door.

Remove the lid (1) on the opening.

Insert a long, narrow tool, such as a screw-
driver, through the opening.
–
Place the tool (2) on the release lever (3) of
the battery hood lock.
–
Push the tool to the left so that it pushes the
release lever to the right. The lock unlocks
and the battery hood can be opened.



