the belt guard is down and the chuck is installed
properly.

Lock the motor switch off when leaving the drill
press.
Do not perform layout, assembly, or set-up
work on the table while the cutting tool is rotating,
switched on, or connected to a power source.
■
If the power supply cord is damaged,
it must
be replaced only by the manufacturer or by an
authorised service centre to avoid risk.
■
Store idle tools.
When not in use, tools should
be stored in a dry locked-up place, out of reach of
children.
■
It is recommended that the tool always be supplied
via a residual current device having a rated residual
current of 30mA or less.
■
Save these instructions.
Refer to them frequently
and use to instruct other users. If you loan someone
this tool, loan them these instructions also.
LASER SAFETY RULES

The laser radiation used in the product is Class 2
with maximum

1mW and 650nm wavelengths.
Failure to comply with the rules could result in
serious personal injury.

Do not stare into beam during operation.
■
Do not project the laser beam directly into the eyes
of others. Serious eye injury could result.
■
Do not place the laser in a position that may cause
anyone to stare into the laser beam intentionally or
unintentionally.
■
Do not use optical tools to view the laser beam.
■
Do not operate the laser around children or allow
children to operate the laser.
■
Do not attempt to repair the laser device by yourself.
■
Do not attempt to change any parts of the laser
device by yourself.
■
Any repairs must only be carried out by the laser
manufacturer or authorized service agent.
■
Do not replace the laser with a different type.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual
risk factors. The operator should pay particular and
additional attention to these points in order to reduce the
risk of serious personal injury.
■
Injury to hearing – Wear suitable ear protection and
limit exposure.
■
Injury to sight – Wear protective eye shields or
goggles when using the product.
■
Injury caused by vibration – Limit exposure and
follow the instructions on risk reduction in this
manual.
■
Respiratory injury from dust created by operating
the product – Wear suitable protection depending on
type of dust.
WARNING
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing,
grinding, drilling, and other construction activities
contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth
defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples
of these chemicals are:
●
lead from lead-based paints,
●
crystalline silica from bricks and cement and
other masonry products, and
●
arsenic and chromium from chemically-
treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on
how often you do this type of work. To reduce your
exposure to these chemicals, work in a well ventilated
area, and work with approved safety equipment, such
as those dust masks that are specially designed to
fi
lter out microscopic particles.
ELECTRICAL
Use only 3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong
grounding plugs and 3-pole receptacles that accept the
tool’s plug. When using a power tool at a considerable
distance from the power source, use an extension cord
heavy enough to carry the current that the tool will draw.
An undersized extension cord will cause a drop in line
voltage, resulting in a loss of power and causing the
motor to overheat.
Before using an extension cord, inspect it for loose or
exposed wires and cut or worn insulation.
WARNING
Keep the extension cord clear of the working area.
Position the cord so that it will not get caught on
lumber, tools or other obstructions while you are
working with a power tool. Failure to do so can result
in serious personal injury.
WARNING
Check extension cords before each use. If damaged
replace immediately. Never use the product with a
damaged cord since touching the damaged area
could cause electrical shock resulting in serious injury.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The product is powered by a precision built electric
motor. It should be connected to a power supply that is
230-240 V, 50 Hz, AC only (normal household current).
Do not operate the product on direct current (DC). A
substantial voltage drop will cause a loss of power and
the motor will overheat. If the product does not operate
when plugged into an outlet, double check the power
supply.
