Expansion Units
The number of words allocated on CPM1A Expansion Units, the number of
words allocated varies for inputs and outputs. Take this into account when
connecting the Units.
4-2-5 I/O Allocation Examples
Do not exceed the connection restrictions when connecting Expansion Units
and Expansion I/O Units.
1. A maximum of up to 7 Units can be connected.
2. A maximum of 15 input and output words can be allocated (Input: up to CIO
16, output: up to CIO 116).
Also, the number of Units that can be connected is also restricted by the cur-
rent consumption. Refer to 1-2-4 Restrictions on System Configuration for
details.
Example 1: Connecting Seven Expansion Units and Expansion I/O Units
If there is a Unit that does not use input or output words, the words are allo-
cated to the next Unit.
