(3) Switching between on and off of the log saving

DS-L3 allows you to save a text file (log file) of any log comment and the photographing record for each image file.

Display the [CAM MENU: SHOT/REC] screen.

Press the [LOG] button.

The [SAVE LOG] submenu appears.

Select on or off for log saving.

[ON]

•

[OFF]

Selecting the button closes the [SAVE LOG] submenu, and
the icon of the [SAVE LOG] button changes in accordance
with the setting.
When log saving is on, [LOG INFO:] appears prompting you
to enter a comment in the text field at the bottom of the
[CAM MENU: SHOT/REC] screen.

Press the input field [LOG INFO:] to enter a comment.

Pressing the entry field displays the keypad.

Enter any text (maximum of 40 characters).

Input the required information using the keypad, and press
the [ENTER] button to register it.
Use the [SHIFT] button to switch the case. Use the [CLR]
button to erase the entered content, and use the [BS] button
to move back one character. Pressing the [X] button closes
the keypad without changing the texts.
Note: Closing the keypad by pressing the [ENTER] button

displays the entered comment in the [LOG INFO:]
input field.

Log saving options

Option

Description

OFF

A log file is not saved at the time of capturing an image.

ON

The photographing record and a comment text are saved as a log file at the time of capturing an image.

Content of the log file

A log file of photographing record is created for each image file. The name of a log file is “the filename of the image +
extension.txt”.
The following data is recorded in the log.
