Active Upgrade
This section describes Active Upgrade process.
Introduction
Active Upgrade process allows you to upgrade system and application software while the important
applications on an NEC Express5800/ft series system are online and available to users.
This section describes the overview of Active Upgrade process, the procedure and prerequisites
necessary for preparing the system for the upgrade process, and configuring and performing the
upgrade process with Active Upgrade Console. It also describes the troubleshooting when a
problem occurs in Active Upgrade process.
TIPS:
The information described in this section is also included in the [Active Upgrade Help] file. You
can find it in the [ftSys] folder from [Start] menu on the Active Upgrade Console and your system
(after installing Active Upgrade software).
CAUTION:
N8815-006A, ft remote management card (F-RMC), is required to use Active Upgrade.
