Programming

For information on what has changed in programming for v2.4, refer to the 

Inter-Tel 5000 

Features and Programming Guide 

(part no: 580.8006).

For the changes that have been made to the v2.4 Utilities, refer to the 

Inter-Tel 5000 Features 

and Programming Guide

 (580.8006). Some of the changes are general and are not tied to a 

specific v2.4 feature.

DB Test Utility

The Miscellaneous Test in the DB Test Utility now recognizes when a database has static 
subnet masks or gateways programmed that are not the same for the Processor Module, 
Expansion Card, and Processing Server (checks fields accordingly based on system type). 

DB Converter Utility

The DB Converter updates the keymap-related programming of databases during conversion to 
v2.4. 

NOTICE

Because of the extra storage required for endpoint firmware, Inter-Tel highly recommends 
that systems running Basic Voice Mail (BVM) upgrade the CompactFlash

®

 card to either 

512MB (part number 841.0274) or 1024MB (part number 841.0273) before upgrading the 
system to v2.4.
