Enable POST string print to memory
Specifies whether the execution log should be enabled or disabled. If enabled, you
can view the execution log, using the
Review execution log
page of the Matrox Iris
portal website. If disabled, strings are not recorded in the execution log.
Note that if the
Enable POST string print to memory
field is disabled, and the
Enable POST string print to serial port
field is enabled, system messages are sent
directly to the serial port. To enable printing POST strings to the serial port, use the
Enable POST string print to serial port
field on the
Boot settings
page, accessible
from the
Administration utility
page.
Enable POST diagnostic execution
Specifies that the diagnostic Power-On-Self-Test (POST) diagnostic section of the
bootloader should be executed. POST diagnostics occur during power-up (boot) of
your Matrox Iris GT. Messages from POSTs are a good diagnostic tool. Note that
these messages are written to the serial port (COM port).
Enable CPU activity on the Power LEDs
Specifies whether the Power LED should be used to show CPU activity by
consistently blinking green. Refer to the
Powering and connecting to your Matrox
Chapter 2: Powering and connecting to your Matrox Iris GT
for
more information.
System activity on the User LED
Specifies whether the User LED displays one of several types of activity by blinking.
•
No activity on User LED
. Disables the User LED from displaying activity.
•
Ethernet and acquisition activity
. Enables the User LED to display ethernet and
image acquisition activity. The User LED blinks orange during activity.
•
Solid state drive activity
. Enables the User LED to display accesses to the
Matrox Iris GT’s flash drive. The User LED blinks green when the flash drive is
read, and red when it is being written.
COM port baud rate (for POST messages)
Specifies the speed at which messages to the serial port (COM port) are
transmitted. The default is 115200 baud.
COM port data bits
Specifies the number of data bits used to transmit/receive each POST message
to/from the COM port. The default is 8.
COM port parity
Specifies the number of parity bits used to transmit each POST message to the
COM port. The default is none.
COM port stop bits
Specifies the number of stop bits used to transmit each POST message to the COM
port. The default is 1.
