Configuring the Microsoft Windows CE Connection Manager 73
Introducing the Connection Manager components
The Connection Manager is divided into two components, each of which contains
utilities to transfer your files.
Host-side
component
The
Host-side
component of the Connection Manager is present on the
development computer as part of Microsoft Visual Studio. The Host-side
component is executed automatically after Microsoft Visual Studio builds your
application and is ready to transfer the application over the network to your
Matrox Iris GT.
Target-side
component
The
target-side
component of Connection Manager is present on Matrox Iris GT
as an integrated component of the Microsoft Windows CE configuration. The
target-side component also contains the CONMANCLIENT and CMACCEPT
command-line utilities, both of which must be executed manually once you are
ready to transfer the application to your smart camera. CONMANCLIENT is
used by Microsoft Visual Studio to communicate with your Matrox Iris GT during
the transfer and debugging process. CMACCEPT allows the communication
between Microsoft Visual Studio and your Matrox Iris GT to occur without
challenge or interruption.
