5. Before upgrading, you can examine the version information of your smart
camera(s) by selecting a smart camera and clicking on the
Camera firmware
information
button. This information includes: the camera model, the operating
system’s version and QFE version (if any), the MIL version, service pack identifier,
and update identifier, and the Boot ROM version.
You can also:
- View the version information of the update files. To do so, click on the
Update
files information
button.
- Compare the version information between the files on your development
computer and your smart camera. To do so, click on the
Check update type
button. A dialog box appears, stating either that the smart camera requires
updating, that the smart camera us already updated, or that the smart camera
contains a more recent version of the files specified.
- Verify that the update files are compatible with the selected smart camera or
the level of update required. To do so, select a single smart camera from the
Camera list to update
list box and click on the
Check update type
button. A
message appears stating whether the update can continue, and whether a full
upgrade or only one or more components (the operating system, QFE, or MIL)
should be upgraded.
6. To update the files on one or more smart cameras listed in the
Camera list to
update
list box, select the smart cameras to be updated, and click on the
Start
update
button. The process will continue unattended.
Alternatively, to install or update the RemoteClientActiveX plugin on your
computer, select a single smart camera from the
Camera list to update
list box
and click on the
Install or update ActiveX
button. This will take the
RemoteClientActiveX plugin from a specific camera and install it on your
development computer.
7. Click on the
Quit
button to close the application.
