Debugging an application using Microsoft Visual Studio 75
Debugging an application using Microsoft
Visual Studio
When debugging a Microsoft Windows CE application using Microsoft Visual
Studio, the following is a list of reminders:
• Build and allow Microsoft Visual Studio to deploy the developed application in
the folder, specified in the
Project properties
dialog box (accessible from the
Project properties
menu command).
• Configure the specific command line arguments to be used by the application. To
do this, open the
Project properties
dialog box and expand the
Configuration
properties Debugging
item from the tree-structure. Specify the command
arguments in the
Command arguments
edit field.
• You can ignore the following message, generated by Microsoft Visual Studio:
"Connection failed. ActiveSync is not installed". The connection between your
development computer and your Matrox Iris GT is made and maintained using
TCP/IP. The data synchronization program (ActiveSync) used by Microsoft for
use with its Microsoft Windows operating systems is not needed to deploy or
debug an application with Matrox Iris GT, even though Microsoft Visual Studio
assumes, by default, that ActiveSync is required.
Configuring your Matrox Iris GT for debugging
To configure your Matrox Iris GT for debugging, set the version of Microsoft
Visual Studio that is installed on your development computer. To do this, perform
the following:
1. On your development computer, open Microsoft Internet Explorer and navigate
to the following address:
2. Select the
Administration utility
link. The
Administration utility
page opens.
