3. Select the Networking Services option and click on the Details button. The
Networking Services dialog box is displayed.
4. Verify that Universal Plug and Play is selected. If it is not, select it.
5. Click on the OK button to close the Networking Services dialog box.
6. Click on the Next button to add universal plug and play. The Networking Services
dialog box closes.
7. Click on the Finish button in the Windows Components Wizard dialog box.
Enabling network
sharing in Microsoft
Vista
To turn on Microsoft’s network sharing, perform the following:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel . The Windows Control Panel dialog box is
displayed.
2. Click on the Network and Internet button. The Network and Internet dialog
box is displayed. Click on the Network and Sharing Center button. The Network
and Sharing Center dialog box is displayed.
3. Verify that Network sharing is turned on. If it is not, click on the corresponding
arrow button to expand the section.
4. Click on the Turn on network discovery option. Then, click on the Apply button.

Note that Administrator permission is required. If you are prompted for an
administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide
confirmation.
5. Close the Network and Sharing Center dialog box.
