Secure socket layer settings
. Secure socket layer (SSL) uses a private key to encrypt
data that is transferred over the SSL connection. By convention, URLs that require
an SSL connection start with https: instead of http. The connection between client
and server in an SSL connection is secure.
•
Add virtual root
. Specifies the information required to create a virtual root for
your Matrox Iris GT web server.
A virtual root is the folder hierarchy that appears in the URL of your Matrox Iris
portal website. This allows you to hide folders by having the web server display a
virtual root instead of the actual folder hierarchy of your Matrox Iris GT (for
example, the root folder of the web server is shown as
http://IrisName/
in Microsoft
Internet Explorer, but in reality, the files are located in the \
\IrisName\CEDisk\web
folder).
Maximum web server log file size in bytes
Specifies the limit for the amount of information that can be written in the log file, in
bytes. Once the limit is reached, the information will be overwritten.
Maximum number of simultaneous connections
Specifies the maximum number of simultaneous users that can connect to your Matrox
Iris GT web server at any time. Any additional simultaneous users will be refused and will
return an error.
