Appendix F: The breakout board
3. Connect the ground of the breakout board and the ground of the light controller
to a common ground.
For more information, refer to

Appendix D: Using the I/O signals and controlled- current output
❖
Note that you cannot generate the AUX(STB)_OPENC_OUT4 or
AUX(STB)_OPENC_OUT5 signals before the exposure signal.
Routing a controlled-current output from your Matrox Iris GT to
a LED lighting device
You can route the controlled-current output from your Matrox Iris GT to a LED
lighting device. To do so, perform the following:
1. Connect the power, current-controlled output, and the digital I/O signals of your
Matrox Iris GT to the breakout board by following the steps in the
Matrox Iris GT and connecting its I/O signals to the breakout board
2. Connect an open-wire cable from the positive current (+) of the LED lighting
device to the breakout board’s controlled-current output (CCS, J29).
3. Connect the ground of the LED lighting device to the J30 wire terminal of the
breakout board’s output connector.
For more information, refer to
Powering and controlling a LED lighting device with
the Matrox Iris GT controlled-current output
signals and controlled- current output of Matrox Iris GT
❖
Note that you cannot generate the controlled-current output before the exposure
signal.
