Basic Frequency and Phase Error Setup
To allow the phase to be obtained, the freq offset is removed first. This then allows the phase to be
returned. In the case of multiple samples, the result returned is the average. The result returned are
Frequency Error and Phase Error with reference to the frequency set for the acquisition.
Undetermined phase changes occur between acquisitions that change frequency or instrument gain.
These cannot be calibrated out; therefore, phase error results need to be obtained from the same
acquisition.
