HTX30 Product Manual
3-2
This section describes the design and installation requirements when preparing a blue ARROW installation.
Mounting the modules
The location and mounting of modules should be decided before starting the installation.
This reduces the chance of equipment damage and allows for the wiring lengths to be determined early in
the installation process.
Note the following when locating the modules:
Mount away from high-vibration areas.
Mount in easily accessible locations.
Lever modules and Mouseboats must be mounted horizontally. For more information see the
component installation section (
►
page 4-2).
The Engine Interface Module (EIM) and JETanchor Control Module (JACM) need to be opened to allow
cable installation. All other modules contain no user serviceable parts and are not to be opened during
installation.
The JACM and GPS antenna have specific mounting location and orientation requirements. For more
information see the component installation section (
►
page 4-7).
A rigid protective housing should be used to enclose any exposed control modules.
Station control panels should be mounted on an angle away from direct sunlight.
Station control panels should be angled to reduce reflections in the bridge windows.
Wing station controls open to the public should be secured to prevent access by unauthorised personnel.
