General checks
Test the throttles.
Make sure that both port and starboard engine RPM match when the throttle demands to each engine
are the same.
Power supply:
Disconnect the secondary power supply.
Make sure the system is still powered by the primary power supply.
Make sure the steering nozzles and reverse ducts can be fully driven.
Reconnect the secondary power supply.
Disconnect the primary power supply and repeat above checks.
Control station:
Make sure the dimmer button dims all lamps at the control station.
Press and hold the dimmer button to do a lamp test. Make sure all lamps are working.
Test control transfer between control input devices.
Make sure the steering and reverse responds correctly to the Mouseboat.
Make sure the gearbox responds correctly to the buttons on the control panel.
Make sure the vessel is at zero speed when the active controls are in the zero speed position.
Make sure the idle throttle responds correctly to the RPM+ and RPM- buttons on the control panel.
Repeat above checks at all control stations.
Multiple control stations:
Make sure that it is possible to lock a station (stations can only be locked if the SCP parameter "cids
lockable" is set to true).
Press the take control button on an active control device.
The status lights flash indicating the station is locked.
Make sure control transfer between stations is not possible when the active station is locked.
Press the take control button on a control device at another station while the active station is locked.
Make sure it is possible to unlock a station by pressing the take control button on an active, locked
control device.
The status lights remain steady indicating the station is unlocked.
Make sure that control transfer between stations is possible when the currently active station is
unlocked.
Press the take control button on a control device at another station while the active station is unlocked.
Backup:
Test backup operation by pressing the backup button on the control panel.
The alarm sounds when entering backup control.
Press the alarm cancel button to silence the alarm.
Make sure the steering nozzles and reverse ducts respond correctly to the backup jogstick.
Make sure the engine throttles responds correctly to the RPM+ and RPM- buttons.
Make sure the jets and reverse ducts return to the zero speed position when the zero speed button is
pressed.
Make sure it is possible to return to normal control by pressing the take control button on any control
device.
Make sure the vessel does not respond to backup controls when in normal operation.
Once these checks have been successfully completed, the vessel should be moved to open water and the
checks in the following section completed.
