Jet interface module set up
Jet interface modules must be calibrated in two stages.
Stage 1 must be performed before:
the vessel is launched, and
before the engines can be run and hydraulic power is available.
Stage 2 must be performed:
after the vessel is launched, and
when the engines can be run and hydraulic power is available.
The calibration procedure (stage 1 and stage 2) must be repeated for each jet interface module.
When starting the JIM setup, choose the calibration type from the drop-down menu.
Stage 1 Pre launch (unpowered calibration)
Can be done when the jets are not in the water or there is no hydraulic power.
Cannot automatically detect any of the correct settings for the jets.
Allows manual configuration of the limits and centre positions for the jets and reverse ducts.
For an unpowered calibration, do the following:

Centre steering position.
Centre the steering nozzle. The steering nozzle centre position must be accurate, especially on twin jet
vessels.
On twin jet vessels, accurate alignment can be achieved by holding a straight edge or string line across
the aft faces of the steering nozzles, so that both sides of each nozzle touch the straight edge or string.
On single jet vessels, satisfactory alignment can be achieved ensuring that a straight edge or string line
placed across the nozzle's aft face is approximately parallel with the transom.
