Status lights on control devices fail to light
Possible cause
Solution
Dimming level set too low at the control station
Adjust dimming level.
Device or control station is not active.
Transfer control to the required control station or device.
RPM+/- buttons do not adjust idle RPM.
Possible cause
Solution
Engine not running.
Start engine(s).
Trying to operate from a control station which is not
active.
Transfer control to the required control station.
Engine idle RPM is already at the minimum/maximum
value.
Idle RPM cannot be increased/decreased further.
Normal or backup controls respond slowly
Possible cause
Solution
Throttle demand is low.
In normal mode, use the throttle levers to increase
engine rpm.
In backup mode, use the backup input unit's +RPM
button to increase engine rpm.
Partially open bypass valves on JHPU.
Firmly close all by-pass valves.
V-belts slipping.
Inspect and replace/tension as necessary.
Engine start is disabled.
Possible cause
Solution
Gearbox not in neutral.
Switch gearbox to neutral.
Throttle set too high.
Return control devices to the zero-speed position, and
reduce idle throttle if necessary.
Unresolved alert (alarm or warning).
Cancel and resolve any active alarms or warnings.
JETanchor cannot hold station
Possible cause
Solution
GPS signal is poor.
Check that GPS antenna is not obscured.
External conditions exceed vessel or JETanchor capability. Point the vessel's bow into the wind before engaging
stationkeeping. Use virtual anchor mode instead. Find
calmer conditions. Increase the idle rpm. Use manual
controls instead.
Vessel parameters have changed since JETanchor was
setup. For example, vessel weight has changed or engine
idle rpm has changed.
Return the vessel to its previous parameters.
