External control interface set up
If the control system includes an external control interface (XCI), follow these steps to set it up:
Set the maximum idle engine demand allowed when
the XCI is controlling the throttle. This is set as a
percentage of full throttle.
Click
Next
to save the setting and continue.
Set the XCI J1939 addresses. You can accept the
automatically configured addresses or enter your own
addresses.
To accept the automatically configured addresses:
Ensure the "Automatically configure J1939
addresses" checkbox is ticked, then click
Next
to
save the settings and continue.
To enter your own addresses:
Tick the "Use preferred addresses" checkbox
Enter the module addresses.
Click
Next
to save the settings and continue.
Set the XCI docking control envelope. The XCI docking
control envelope sets throttle limits that apply when
the XCI is controlling the vessel using the Thrust
Demand PGN (PGN 65298).
Set:
Aside throttle (percentage of normal full throttle).
Ahead throttle (percentage of normal full throttle).
Astern throttle (percentage of normal full throttle).
Z axis throttle (yaw - percentage of normal full
throttle).
Helm compensation (degrees/10).
Click
Next
to save the settings and continue.
If the control system includes a JETanchor control module (JACM), continue with the following sections to set
up that module.
