3.
For this test remove the relay from test mode and assign TOCTRP to A1.
(2007)
A1 = index 119; TOCTRP
4.
Apply
I
op
at 3.0 (0.6) A rms and start the timer. Leave the current on until the A1 contact close and stop the timer. The
51G should time out in 2.8 to 3.2 seconds.
5.
Reduce
I
op
to zero.
6.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 with values for
I
op
from the table below. Verify that the 51G times out within the specified time.

5.2.9 UNDERVOLTAGE TEST
1.
Connect the relay as shown in Figure 5–2: GROUND REACH TIMER TEST CONNECTIONS on page 5–7.
2.
Set the voltage inputs to the following values:
VA: 67 volts rms
∠
0°
VB: 67 volts rms
∠
–120°
VC: 67 volts rms
∠
+120°
3.
Set
I
op
to zero Amps.
4.
Set the relay into test mode 48 The LUI displays UNDERVOLTAGE ON
5.
Set phase A voltage to 35 V and check that contact A1 closed. Set phase A voltage back to 67 V and check that con-
tact A1 opens. Repeat for phase B and C.
5.2.10 T9 – T10 – OVERVOLTAGE TEST
1.
Connect the relay as shown in Figure 5–2: GROUND REACH TIMER TEST CONNECTIONS on page 5–7 and make
the following Protection settings:
VOLTAGE
(701)
RATEDVOLTS = 115 (V rms)
(702)
PHASEOVER = YES
(703)
PHOVPICKUP = 1.10 (pu Volts)
(704)
PHOVTMDLY = 0.5
2.
Set the relay into test mode 47. The LUI displays OVERVOLTAGE ON
3.
Set the voltage inputs to the following values:
VA: 67 volts rms
∠
0°
VB: 67 volts rms
∠
–120°
VC: 67 volts rms
∠
+120°.
4.
Set
I
op
to zero Amps.
5.
Set phase A voltage to 74 V and check that contact A1 is closed. Set phase A voltage back to 67 V and check that con-
tact A1 opens. Repeat for phases B and C.
