Troubleshooting the PABX
No incoming calls
Check that all phones programmed to ring are not programmed for DND or Forward.
External calls blocked
If you cannot get outgoing access on a 2-wire telephone, move a ip520c to the station. If it shows EXTN LOCK, the station
has been locked and you will need the unlock code to unlock it. See station lock on Page 48.
No station dial tone
Check that the station has not been disconnected through programming. See page 78 for programming from the
management application and page 135 for programming from the programming ip520c.
Not seizing a line for outgoing calls
Check if the line is equipped in programming. See page 82 for programming from the management application and Page
135 for programming from the programming ip520c.
Check that the key is programmed for line access, see ip520c key programming on page 31.
Door station not operating
Check the programming for the doorphone see Page 75 for programming from the web management application and Page
134 for programming from the programming ip520c.
Phone reset
Remember the simple phone reset code 739, which can be dialled from any station phone.
CDS Store is showing answered calls only. I want all calls to be shown
With CDS activated in both the telephone exchange and on the ip500pbxw you can choose to have all incoming callers
telephone numbers added to a ‘CDS Store' or just the unanswered calls. These can be viewed on the ip500pbxw ip520c.
In default the system is set to only store unanswered calls.
This can be changed in System Programming see page 123.
CDS is not working
For CDS service to work on standard PSTN Lines it has to be enabled in both the telephone exchange and on the
ip500pbxw system. If the service is provided on the PSTN Line it must be programmed in the ip500pbxw. See page 83 for
programming from the Management Application and Page 137 for programming from the programming ip520c.
Power Fail problems
If there is no electrical mains power connected to your ip500pbxw and you wish to make or receive external calls, you will
need to connect a standard telephone in to the Power Fail socket found on the back of the system. There will be no internal
service, no Broadband connection, Wireless LAN access or Cordless telephone ( DECT ) service until the power is
restored.
When setting the system time it does not update immediately
The time and date will not change until all external calls in progress when the programming change is made have finished.
