Climbing Distance
The total distance where the terrain is uphill.
Climbing Elevation
The amount of ascending vertical distance.
Coordinates
A set of numbers (e.g., latitude and longitude) used to identify the specific location
of a point.
Course
The azimuth and length of a line, considered together.

Central Standard Time
Current Elevation
The elevation above sea level at a specific point.
Descending Distance
The total distance where the terrain is downhill.
Descending Elevation
The amount of descending vertical distance.
Differential GPS (DGPS)
A technique to improve GPS accuracy that uses pseudo-range errors recorded at a
known location to improve the measurements made by other GPS receivers within
the same general geographic area.
Dilution of Precision (DOP)
The total effect of all error sources in locating a position.
