Main pump anti-sticking function (periodic start up)
The periodical pump start-up function is used to control the pumps when the unit is stopped for about 24 hours.
When the outside air temperature is low, the risk of frost formation on the cooler side increases, hence the water
exchanger pump should be turned on.
Starting the pump periodically for a few seconds increases the lifetime of the pump bearings and the tightness of the
pump seal.

If the periodical pump quick start is configured, the pump will be started for 2 minutes each time after being
stopped for 24 hours.
•
For the variable speed pump, the pump will run at its minimum speed when this override (periodical pump
start-up) is active.
The water pump anti-sticking function is set using parameter [P563] – pump speed in DHW mode (dhw_vsp):

The RUA-CP170 / 2101H Monobloc units can also control an additional water pump installed in the water circuit.
[P573] is used to configure the system to control and additional external pump. The control logic options for an
additional external pump are shown below:

Note:
The installer is responsible for ensuring the protection of any additional pump against the low water flow rate
(no additional flow switch can be managed by unit control).
When the anti-sticking function is enabled [P563] and the additional pump has not been running for more than
24 hours, then the pump will be started in order ensure the correct operation of the pump.
