8.2.5. Simultaneous Heating and Domestic Hot Water Operation
It is possible to operate the ESTIA Monobloc system with both space heating and domestic hot water modes selected
on the remote controller / software parameters. The operating mode is selected as detailed below and depends on the
outdoor air temperature (OAT).
•
Heating and DHW simultaneous control:
[1] When the system is operating in space heating (SH) mode and the Space Heating Minimum Runtime [P704]
has elapsed AND the temperature of the water, inside the DHW cylinder, is less than CTRL_PNT [P406] -

DHW Start [P721] then the system will STOP space heating and will change over to DHW production mode. The
operating sequence for the system at this point is:
•
Electric heating stages and back up heating are forced to STOP
•
The compressor continues to run
•
The water pump continues to run
•
The 3 way valve changes position to allow DHW production
•
The DHW Set point [P406] is displayed on the remote controller
•
The electric heater, for the DHW cylinder is allowed to start
[2] The system will operate in DHW production mode until DHW_TT > CTRL_PNT [P406] – 1K [P722] OR until the
DHW Maximum Runtime [P707] At this point the DHW temperature, inside the DHW cylinder, will be satisfied
and the system will change back to space heating operation
NOTE:
The DHW, inside the DHW cylinder, will be produced using only the electric heater installed in the cylinder under the
following conditions:
•
OAT < Minimum OAT for heating [P514]
•
OAT > Maximum OAT for heating [P515]
•
If there is a fault on the ESTIA Monobloc outdoor unit
