1. Open the Diagnostics window in

DSQ II Tune

Open

Xcalibur

and click

Instrument Setup

b. Click the

DSQ II

icon to open the Method Editor.

Click the

Tune

button.

d. Select

Diagnostics | Run Tests

to open the Diagnostics window.

2. Run diagnostics by clicking on the test you want to run.

Did the system fail while you
were running samples?

Did problems occur immediately
after you performed maintenance
on the instrument, data system,
or peripherals?

There may be a hardware
failure. Run diagnostics.

Did problems occur after you changed
the system's configuration, cables, or
peripherals?

The problem is probably mechanical,
not electrical. Verify that alignment,
configurations and cable connections
are correct before you run
